Well, I’m a little bit late with the New Year wishes (at least it’s still January) but I do wish everyone much health and happiness in 2017!
To get the year off to a good start, I am offering a free cross-stitch pattern! I whipped up this pin cushion to sit by my chair in my studio. I am forever losing my needles, whether they are my sewing, stitching or yarn needles. I thought a cute pin cushion was just what I needed. So I sat down and came up with this design. I love antique samplers and so I chose a motif that I loved. I just adore this little cushion and it makes me smile whenever I look at it. Feel free to change the colors to match your decor or change up the finishing. You don’t have to make a pin cushion. Sampler Flower Pin Cushion pdf file for download.
I have also been busy making up new stitch markers. Besides my Etsy shop, you can find my stitch markers at Stitching Memories in Portage, MI. I am hoping to have more shops carry them in the future. Keep an eye on this blog or my Facebook page for updates.
One last bit of news, I have been working on a logo. I just haven’t been happy with anything I have come up with in the past so I am trying again. I think I may have finally some up with something that will work for me in the long run. At least I hope it will. Let me know what you think.
Never stop creating!
Kumihimo has become a very popular class at my local yarn shop. I just taught my second class for beginning Kumihimo and it was full. That is two full classes and more students are eager to learn. I need to put together a class that involves beads as that seems to be what my students are interested in learning. So I need to get cracking and put together a class.
If you are interested in finding out when I schedule the next Kumihimo beginner class or any of the the more advanced classes, please sign up for my newsletter and you will receive notice when the classes are scheduled.
I have been working on stock for my Etsy shop. I have added two new listings for stitch markers. I am working on a new pattern as well, but that is far from ready. If you are in the Kalamazoo area and are interested in any of my physical listings on Etsy, please convo me and we can set up personal delivery instead of shipping.
I have had a very productive couple of days. I have been working on my classes for fall as well as making stitch markers like a woman possessed. I can’t seem to stop. I have been having such a great time making them and I am running out of beads. Looks like I need to go shopping soon.
All my stitch markers have been listed in my Etsy shop. Here’s a quick look at some of the markers. If you wish to purchase them and live in the Kalamazoo area, convo me on Etsy and we can arrange to meet so I can deliver them to you if you’d like to avoid shipping.
